The Year That Was – Bryleigh House

The Year That Was

Phhheeeeewwwwweeeee what a year that was! 2019 was a good one with so much to reflect one

January: We began to plan out our garden beds for our micro flower farm to produce our own florals for our wreaths to really embrace the slow flower movement

March: Tried our hands at markets and we featured at the Clunes Makers Market and the ST Ambrose Community Carnival. We take our hats off to market folk, thats definitely a hardworking gig. We also welcomed some new stockist to the store with the ever gorgeous Little Maisy Candles and Scented Drops essential oils. Launched our own line of seeds, and featured an Installation at the Melbourne Internation Flower and Garden Show with the team from the Design School (woah that was a super busy month and I'm pretty sure we squeezed in a day flight to Sydney for the trade fair!)

April: Welcomed the cutes little lambs to the team, one quickly grew to three, we began harvesting the grapevine for our wreaths thankyou to our local suppliers, we couldn't have done it without you. Cut in our new garden beds and created a space for future workshops

May: collaborated with the beautiful Melbourne Soapworks for a custom branded soap line, had a beautiful photo shoot with at Chloe Smith Photography for our website. Created a beautiful hanging floral Install fir the team at Code Blonde. Prepped all our grapevine wreaths for the oncoming season. And finally launched our Web Store (Yay)

June: Styled a gorgeous 40th Birthday

July: Created an massive 3M hanging floral installation for the lovely girls at Madeline and Co with the biggest pinkiest fluffy cloud of gypsophillia we ever did see. The poppies in the garden began to start popping through.

August: Saw a decent fall of snow blanketing the beautiful grounds of Bryleigh House (we were scarred for all our seedlings but they all survived.

September: Spring had sprung and our floral wreath workshop planning was well underway but unfortunately due to personal circumstances we had to postpone. But fear not we may very well have some open days and wreath classes in the future. We had a gorgeous advert featured in Oak Magazine which was totally jaw dropping for us that we had even made it that far.

October:We again planning our first birthday celebrations, because well why not celebrate fabulousness. And we signed on to do our Pop for the end of November

November: Wow that was a busy month business and family wise. Our retail space officially turned one, we had a party, we opened the pop up and had a twilight night shopping extravaganza and styled a shoot for the ABC's Dream Gardens.

December: well when isn't December ever not crazy, we had there most amazing time at our Pop Up location in the Main Street of Woodend and we featured in a double page spread in Oak Magazine and just can't stop pinching ourselves.

I wonder if 2020 will be as crazy hectic as 2019. We hope so.

May you have a safe and happy new year and all your dreams and goals come to fruition. We know ours did,

From both of our families to yours, we say a big heartfelt thank you for supporting us in our small business journey. its because of you that we are here doing what we are doing today,
